Smashing Pumpkins Bass Player Was Girl On 1993 Album Cover
Feb 17, 2011 Entertainment News
Smashing Pumpkins new bassist Nicole Fiorentino appeared on the cover of the group’s Siamese Dream album when she was a kid.
The former Veruca Salt star is one of the two girls featured in the artwork for the 1993 album – a fact that escaped frontman Billy Corgan when he hired her last year to replace Ginger Pooley.
Corgan revealed via Twitter.com this week that Fiorentino was keeping the fateful news from him because she feared he’d disapprove.
The rocker writes, “Just found out the weirdest news: our bass player Nicole… just admitted she is one of the girls on the cover of Siamese Dream.
“She said she didn’t want us to know because she thought maybe we wouldn’t let her be in the band.”
