Amazon Distancing Google & Apple

Last week Amazon Cloud which is the answer to Apple iTunes went live and according to reports the service is more successful than predicted by most experts.

According to CNN , the giant reseller give their clients 5GB of Cloud Drive storage for free after purchasing an LP on their website.

Amazon has beaten Apple and Google to the cloud computing arena which both have attempted to achieve for some time now.

Amazon broke the mold by taking a risk that Google and Apple missed out on by doing things legally and get licensing agreements from record labels before moving ahead.

Recording companies like SONY and others are a bit queasy with the Amazon move as the licensing agreements and streaming technology via cloud computing are nebulous. Add to all that Amazon has whats called its own EC2 model that allows them to use excess storage and technologies to deliver the goods to their customers and clients in a wide array of online services.

Amazon has either found that cloud with the silver lining or the chances of it being a storm cloud on the horizon. Only time will tell.
