The Bangles gear up for their 30th anniversary

The “Eternal Flame” should burn much brighter soon. Come fall, the Bangles best known for that No. 1 hit along with other Top 10 pop singles from the 80s, such as “Walk Like an Egyptian,” “Manic Monday,” “In Your Room” and their remake of Simon & Garfunkels “Hazy Shade of Winter” will return in a big way with a new studio album and nationwide tour to help mark its 30th anniversary.

Black Keys Complete New Album with Danger Mouse

The Black Keys have finished the follow up to Brothers, the Grammy-winning album that launched the Ohio blues rock duo into the mainstream. Spin reports that the as-yet-untitled set was recorded at guitarist Dan Auerbachs studio in Nashville with Brothers producer Brian “Danger Mouse” Burton.

According to Auerbach, the new tunes are among the fastest theyve ever played and draw inspiration from the Clash and the Cramps in particular and rockabilly and garage rock in general. “The new album doesnt sound like Brothers,” he told Spin.
